INSTRUCTIONS

To test drive your republic, just:

    1. select the appropriate radio buttons (Q1 - Q4),
    2. select the pop-up menus (Q5 - Q6), and
    3. then click the "Test Drive" button.

Q1 - How do you want your Head of State selected for office?

A. By direct election by the people of Australia.

B. By all federal politicans voting together to elect a person nominated by the Prime Minister.

C. Only by appointment by the Prime Minister.

Q2 - What powers do you want your Head of State to have?

A. Exactly the same powers as the Govenor-General.

B. Only the reserve powers (Turnbull ARM model).

C. None; always on the advice of the Prime Minister.

Q3 - What qualifications do you want your Head of State to have?

A. Only to be an Australian citizen.

B. The same as for federal politicians.

C. To be only an Australian citizen.

Q4. How do you want your Head of State to be dismissed?

A. Only by the Prime Minister.

B. By the Prime Minister with approval only by the House of Representatives.

C. Only by the federal parliament.
